Where do I tattoo?
I work from Un1ty Tattoo in Shrewsbury town centre but also the occasional convention and guest spot. Check my Instagram where I will post any upcoming dates.
Will you do this tattoo for me?
I mostly concentrate on projects I have available and am eager to work on but I do take on custom work. If you would like a tattoo from me then you can use the contact form on this website or email francesannefaith.artist@outlook.com. I never knowingly ignore an email, so if you don’t hear from me, please resend it.
I focus on tattoos that are very much within my range such as botanicals, birds, animals and nature. If I don’t feel I can do your tattoo for you, please don’t be offended, I am trying to find a work/life balance, only take on work I am confident I can do well, and concentrate on projects that fulfil my artistic drive.
If you are interested in getting tattooed by me because you like my work, please don’t send me other artists work. I prefer to design all tattoos myself so I won’t work from, copy or replicate another artists design nor will I tattoo a design you’ve drawn. I take on projects where I can enjoy the artist process.
What is the process?
Initially, you can use my contact form or email me your design ideas. Please include all relevant information and from there I can give you a rough estimate on how long it may take and how long I’m booked up for. If you’re interested in a large scale design I may suggest a face to face consultation or if appropriate, we can sort most of the consultation via email. I don’t do multiple phone calls/FaceTime in the run-up to an appointment. I do my best work with clients who are open to ideas and relatively relaxed during the entire process. From experience, I know I don’t do my best work whilst being micromanaged at every step therefore, if I feel we are not on the same page, I may suggest another artist.
Once we have discussed your tattoo either via email or during the consultation we can then book you in and take a deposit on your booking. Once you have booked in I will then have a design ready for about a week before your appointment and this will be sent out to you to make sure you’re happy with it. I can make minor adjustments depending on what they are if something isn’t quite right. If I haven’t got the design right at all it probably means I’m not the right tattooist for you.
Hopefully, you’ll love your design and we can go ahead with the appointment.
How booked are you?
Usually 2-3 months at a time.
I don’t book more than 3 months in advance. For example, on January 1st I would open up March for appointments, then February 1st, I open up April etc etc. This seems to work ok and I usually have enough spaces for people to get in with me.
Occasionally, I may have a small waiting list to invite you to book in once my diary has opened or if I have any cancellations during my booking period.
How much do you charge?
Pieces that can be done in one session I try to give a fixed price. I also do a half day session at £250 or full day session at £500. My minimum charge is £100.
A full day with me starts at 10.30am and we usually finish up around 4.30pm depending on the day and how much progress we’ve made. A full day session also includes having a break at lunch time.
I try to be open and transparent about the cost of a tattoo but I can never guarantee an exact amount of hours a large design may take. It will always depend on the final design, size and how well the client sits for the session.
How do I book in?
Please email francesannefaith.artist@outlook.com or use the request form on my website.
How do I go about getting something designed?
I only draw designs for people once they have booked in with a deposit. The deposit is £60 for a half day appointment or £140 for a full day. If your appointment falls somewhere between, I’ll let you know the deposit during our consultation either in person or via email. You can change an appointment but you need to give us at least 48 hours notice or you will lose the deposit. Deposits are none refundable on cancellations.
What can I expect at my appointment?
I try and be as professional as possible for you and give you a nice experience. I do my best to run on time, the design will be ready at the date you are given. I don’t have breaks all the time, I don’t sit with headphones in ignoring you like you are an inconvenience to me, or spend half the day on my phone.
All my needles are single use cartridges, everything is wrapped and protected and I follow the best cross contamination practices to give you a safe experience.
If you are booked for a day session I do take a lunch break – so you can bring some food for yourself or pop and get some. My day rate includes time knocked off for a lunch break.
